Keeping engines maintained and in good condition is challenging in any industrial situation – but few industries are more rigorous than that of food and beverage production. Tightly regulated, these operations are held to far higher standards of cleanliness and sanitation. Washdown motors are specifically designed to withstand high-pressure water cleaning, caustic decontamination agents, and potentially even complete water submersion – without breaking down or having electrical issues. Washdown motors are typically IP69K-rated or better for water resistance.
